  • Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • Add the jasmine rice to a pot with 1¼ cups salted water and bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reduce to the lowest heat, and cook 12 minutes until the water is absorbed.
  • Let it rest with the lid on for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
Make the glaze

  • Meanwhile, mince the garlic.
  • Stir the honey, soy sauce and garlic together in a small bowl.
Sear the salmon

  • Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the fillets skin side up 3 minutes until golden.
  • Flip and cook 2 minutes.
Glaze and steam

  • Pour the glaze into the pan and spoon it over the fish 1 to 2 minutes until it bubbles thick and the salmon flakes easily.
  • Meanwhile, cut the bok choy in half lengthwise.
  • Steam it cut side down in a covered pan with 2 tbsp water for 3 minutes until tender.
Plate

  • Plate the rice, salmon and bok choy.
  • Spoon the pan glaze over the fish.
  • Serve with the lemon in wedges.
