Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Satiafy (the “Service”), operated by [Legal entity - set at incorporation]. By creating an account or using the Service or our browser extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What Satiafy is

Satiafy helps you plan meals around current grocery prices and builds a shopping list you can take to the store. We are an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any grocery retailer or brand named in the Service. Store names and prices are shown only to identify where an item is sold.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Subscriptions and payment

Some features require a paid subscription, billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Prices, availability, and meal plans are estimates

We source prices and product information from publicly available store listings, and they may be out of date, incomplete, or wrong. Prices, availability, and the total cost of a plan are estimates - the price you pay is set by the retailer at checkout. Always confirm prices, availability, allergens, and ingredients at the store. You are responsible for reviewing your order before you buy.

The browser extension

Our optional browser extension adds your planned groceries to a grocery store’s online cart. When you use it at a store where you are signed in, it acts within your own logged-in session to add items to your own cart. You understand and agree that:

• You are responsible for your own relationship and account with each grocery retailer, including that retailer’s own terms of use.
• You review your cart and complete checkout yourself, on the retailer’s website. We do not place orders for you and are not a party to your purchase.
• The extension may not add every item, may select the wrong product, or may miss substitutions. Review your cart before checking out.
• Your store login stays in your browser and is never sent to us (see our Privacy Policy).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.
• Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our content or data except as the Service normally allows.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt to breach the Service’s security.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with us or any retailer.

Our content

The Service, including our recipes, software, and design, is owned by [Legal entity - set at incorporation] or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own household meal planning. Trademarks and prices belonging to retailers or brands remain theirs.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that prices, availability, dietary or allergen information, or meal plans are accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs. You use the Service and any dietary information at your own risk; consult a professional for medical or dietary advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Legal entity - set at incorporation] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from prices, product availability, substitutions, orders you place at a retailer, or reliance on meal plans or dietary information. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. Terms that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms; we will revise the effective date and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
