Ingredients
- ground beef450 g
- russet potato2 ea
- yellow onion1 ea
- bell pepper1 ea
- garlic2 cloves
- ketchupscant ½ cup
- worcestershire sauce1 tbsp
- mustard1 tbsp
- brown sugar1 tbsp
- green cabbage¼ head
- mayonnaise4 tbsp
- apple cider vinegar1 tbsp
- burger bun4 ea
Method

1Wedges first
- Heat the oven to 425F.
- Cut the potatoes into wedges.
- Toss the wedges with 1 tbsp oil and season to taste with salt.
- Roast cut-side down on a lined pan 30 to 35 minutes, flipping once, until golden and crisp.

2Prep
- Meanwhile, dice the onion.
- Dice the bell pepper.
- Mince the garlic.
- Shred ¼ of a cabbage.

3Sloppy joe filling
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the ground beef 6 minutes, breaking it up, until no pink remains.
- Add the onion and bell pepper and cook 4 minutes until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire, mustard, brown sugar and ⅓ cup water.
- Simmer 8 to 10 minutes until thick enough to sit on a bun without running.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4Slaw
- Whisk the mayo and apple cider vinegar with a pinch of salt in a bowl.
- Toss with the cabbage until coated.

5Plate
- Toast the burger buns in a dry pan until warm.
- Pile the beef filling high on the bottom buns.
- Top with the slaw or serve it alongside, with the wedges on the side.
