Yakisoba-Style Pork Noodles
Griddled noodles with pork, cabbage and a tangy-sweet sauce

Ingredients
- egg noodle200 g
- ground pork350 g
- green cabbagequarter of a head
- carrot1 ea
- green onion3 stalks
- ketchup2 tbsp
- worcestershire sauce2 tbsp
- soy sauce2 tbsp
- white sugar2 tsp
Method

1Boil the noodles
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the egg noodles 4 to 5 minutes until just tender.
- Drain, rinse under cold water, and toss with a drizzle of oil.

2Make the sauce
- Stir the ketchup, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and sugar together in a small bowl.

3Cook the pork
- Meanwhile, thinly slice a quarter of a head of cabbage and cut the carrot into matchsticks.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over high heat.
- Add the ground pork and cook 4 to 5 minutes, breaking it up, until browned.
- Add the cabbage and carrot and stir-fry 2 minutes until just wilted.

4Griddle the noodles
- Add the noodles and the sauce to the wok.
- Toss with tongs 2 to 3 minutes until the noodles catch a little char and everything is glossed.
- Fold in the green onions cut into 1 inch lengths.

5Plate
- Season to taste with pepper.
- Pile into two bowls and serve hot.
